Regulations
FIBA regulations apply to all games. IPSF adaptations and amendments to these include that:
- Teams are placed into preliminary brackets based on a balloting system. The number of participating teams will determine the number of brackets.
- All games will consist of two 15-minute halves split by one 10-minute break. Medal rounds will consist of two 20-minute halves split by one 10-minute break.
- Games will implement a 30-second shot clock, so shots must be made toward the net within 30 seconds of a team gaining possession or the ball is transferred to the opposing team.
- Maximum team size is 11 players and 2 staff.
- Up to 4 substitutes are allowed per game.
Brackets
The preliminary brackets use a round robin system, allowing each team to play every other team within their bracket once. The semi-final rounds will use a single elimination system.
Points for each match will be awarded as follows:
Win – 2 points
Loss – 1 point
The points accrued will determine ranking.
